Favre Leuba is presenting the Harpoon Revival at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, marking the 60th anniversary of one of its most distinctive references. The original Harpoon, introduced in 1966, was defined by a restrained grey dial, compact proportions, and a quiet confidence that set it apart. The Revival carries that identity forward, preserving the case dimensions and dial architecture of the 1966 edition while housing a contemporary self-winding movement within.

A Case True To Its Origins
The Harpoon Revival measures 36.8mm in diameter and 10mm in thickness—dimensions held directly from the original. The stainless steel case features polished surfaces, a steel bezel, and an hourglass-embossed crown positioned on the right side of the case.
The closed caseback reproduces the engraved hourglass emblem of the 1966 edition, along with its period-correct typography and circular layout of inscriptions.

The Dial: A Study In Restraint
The grey sunray-brushed dial is consistent with the 1966 Harpoon, with its modern finish creating a quiet interplay of light across the surface. Applied, rhodium-plated hour markers are oriented horizontally at 12, six, and nine o’clock—a deliberate arrangement that distinguishes the Harpoon from conventional dial layouts.
A metallic-framed date aperture sits at three o’clock, while rhodium-plated hands filled with Super-LumiNova ensure legibility in low-light conditions. At six o’clock, the ‘Harpoon’ signature is rendered in the same stylised typography as the original, maintaining a precise visual continuity between the two editions.

Movement, Strap, And Specifications
Powering the watch is the FLD04 calibre, based on the La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement. It operates at 28,800vph and delivers a 68-hour power reserve. The Harpoon Revival is paired with a black leather strap, secured by a stainless steel pin buckle bearing the Favre Leuba signature and fitted with a quick-change mechanism that allows strap swaps without tools.
The case extends 43.5mm lug-to-lug, is fitted with a sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating, and offers a water resistance of up to 50m.

A Milestone Worth Revisiting
The Harpoon Revival is a considered return. In preserving what made the 1966 reference distinctive and updating only what time requires, Favre Leuba makes a clear statement about how it approaches its own history. As the brand steps onto the Watches and Wonders stage for the first time, it does so with a watch that looks back as much as it looks forward.
