The Sea Sky Revival Returns With A Vibrant Green Dial
Following the remarkable success of the Sea Sky Revival unveiled in 2024, with editions in black, brown, and blue, the distinctive chronograph now returns in a new expression. The Sea Sky Revival Green Dial brings a fresh aesthetic to the collection, introducing a vibrant green hue that perfectly balances heritage and modern refinement.
The Sea Sky Revival In Green: A Rich Color Palette
The Sea Sky Revival breathes new life into the vintage spirit of the watch with a captivating green dial. The radiant sunray finish of this hue enhances depth and dimension, complemented by ribbed black sub-dials that create a pleasing contrast.
Retaining the model’s neo-vintage character, the dial features broad arrow-style hands, retro-inspired hour markers, and meticulously applied Super-LumiNova® accents for clarity in all light conditions. A telemeter and tachymeter scale encircle the dial, reflecting the timepiece’s dual focus on style and performance.
It features a clean tri-compax chronograph configuration, tracking minutes at two o’clock, hours at six, and running seconds at nine.
A Blend of Strength and Elegance
Housed in a robust 41mm stainless-steel case, the Sea Sky Revival remains true to its original proportions, echoing the charm of the historic Sea Sky models from the 1960s. The polished and brushed surfaces lend the watch an elegant interplay of textures, while the bidirectional bezel comes in stainless steel with a ceramic insert.
The timepiece is presented on a leather strap, combining sportiness with sophistication. Its steel pin buckle ensures secure wear and adds to the overall nostalgic charm.
FLC01 Caliber: A Precise, Column-Wheel Equipped Chronograph Caliber
At the heart of the watch beats the automatic chronograph calibre FLC01, developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret. This movement employs a superior column-wheel mechanism in place of the conventional cam-actuated system, ensuring smoother, more precise chronograph operation. The column wheel itself is blued through a rigorous heat treatment process. Even the slightest error can result in an imperfect and uneven blue finish, in which case the watchmaker has to repolish and clean the part in order to start afresh.
Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offering a power reserve of approximately 60 hours, the movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, allowing a glimpse of its finely finished components. The caliber features decorations such as perlage on the lower bridges, Côtes de Genève on the main plate, soleillage on the rotor, heat-treated blued screws, and more.
The 4N rotor is skeletonized and custom-designed with colimaçon & soleillage finishes. The Favre Leuba monogram is engraved as a medallion along with the text 'Swiss made since 1737'.
A Revival With Fresh Energy
With its vibrant green dial and timeless construction, the Sea Sky Revival continues to honour the brand’s pioneering spirit. It stands as a symbol of exploration, merging the essence of sea and sky through design, craftsmanship, and performance. The new edition reaffirms the maison’s commitment to preserving its heritage while reinterpreting it for a new generation of watch enthusiasts.
