Favre Leuba's first-ever tourbillon, developed in collaboration with master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon

Since 1737, Favre Leuba has stood as a beacon of horological innovation, recognized for its commitment to endurance and perfection. Now, the brand writes an extraordinary new chapter with the unveiling of its first-ever tourbillon timepiece — the Chief Tourbillon. For this historic milestone, Favre Leuba has chosen its iconic Chief watch, whose distinctive cushion case becomes the perfect canvas for this masterpiece of mechanical ingenuity. At its heart lies the Sablier dial, where the brand’s legendary hourglass emblem comes to life in a breathtaking display of depth and refinement.

Case
Timeless Mastery
The Chief's iconic cushion case, a mesmerising interplay of sinuous curves and sharp edges, breathes life into the new Chief Tourbillon. Rendered in stainless steel, the case measures a graceful 41mm in diameter and a mere 11.45mm in thickness, with the entire tourbillon complication exquisitely housed within.
This devotion to comfort and wearability reveals itself through thoughtful details: the monogram-embossed knurled crown allows for effortless manipulation, while the gently curved sapphire crystal, complete with an anti-reflective coating, ensures impeccable clarity. Staying true to the tradition, the Chief Tourbillon features aesthetic splendor with a harmonious blend of brushed and polished finishes, skillfully applied to the case's multifaceted surfaces. Turning the watch over, the exhibition caseback, topped with sapphire crystal, offers an uninterrupted view of the Maison's inaugural tourbillon movement. The case is water resistant up to 100 meters.

Dial
The Sablier Dial
At the heart of Favre Leuba's identity is its iconic Sablier emblem, which finds its most enchanting expression on the mesmerizing Sablier dial of the Chief Tourbillon. This exquisite dial reveals an intriguing, multi-dimensional design that showcases a seemingly spontaneous yet harmonious arrangement of the legendary logo.
Brought to life by the skilled hands of master craftspeople using specially engineered tools, the Sablier dial undergoes multiple stages of precise stamping to achieve its distinctive multi-level allure. The pattern of triangles spreads across three distinct tiers, from the surface down to 0.30mm below. Each motif is delicately crafted on these levels, where fine sunburst triangles rise elegantly above the dial, while matte triangles rest gently below. The space between these two elements forms the foundation of the dial, creating a captivating interplay of light and texture.

Bracelet
Seamlessly Integrated Yet Interchangeable
The three-link integrated steel bracelet features a combination of finishes, alternating between vertical brushing and polished centre links. It unites seamlessly with the case and tapers towards the end which gives it a graceful presence on the wrist. The bracelet is equipped with an easy change mechanism and secures with a butterfly clasp.
The watch comes with a complimentary black rubber strap.

Movement
First-Ever Tourbillon Caliber
Chief Tourbillon marks a new chapter in the history of Favre Leuba as the brand's first-ever tourbillon watch. At its heart is the FLT01, designed by Jean-François Mojon, one of today's most inventive movement makers. It is a high-potential manual-winding movement that offers exceptional accuracy, thanks to its outstanding tourbillon function. This movement operates at a frequency of 3Hz and provides a 60-hour power reserve with a single barrel. The watch features a meticulous arrangement of 23 jewels, exquisite finishing on the main plate and bridges, and a thoughtfully designed tourbillon escapement, showcasing the elevated craftsmanship of the brand.

Decorated Caliber
Meticulously Finished
The exhibition caseback reveals an immaculately decorated movement, where bold Cotes de Geneve stripes sweep across the main plate, softened by a subtle anthracite finish. The ratchet wheel bears Favre Leuba's iconic hourglass emblem, while gold engravings of the brand logo and technical details offer a delectable contrast, echoed beautifully by the striking blue screws.

Tourbillon Escapement
Unparalleled Accuracy
A marvel of horological ingenuity, the tourbillon takes center stage in Favre Leuba's newest Chief Tourbillon. Nestled at six o'clock, the tourbillon escapement is gracefully supported by two hand-finished bridges that extend seamlessly onto the dial.
The opposing sections of the tourbillon cageís upper bridge evoke an hourglass, hinting at the brand's emblem. This bridge also supports the rehaut of the small seconds dial, and at its center, the flame-blued small seconds, three functions merged into a component as complex to precision-engineer as it is to finish. The tourbillon cage, measuring 14.85 mm in diameter, offers an expansive view of the movement in action. Attention to detail is taken to the extreme: the tourbillon bridge offers a horizontally brushed finish on its top surface, running in parallel to the three o'clock-nine o'clock axis, while its outer edge, which carries the seconds track, features a circular-grain finish.
